About me

Albert is a managing associate in the Energy and Infrastructure team, based in London. Albert has over 10 years’ experience working with project sponsors, lenders, export credit agencies and funds on many of the market-leading energy and infrastructure projects around the world.

Albert has a particular interest and expertise in renewable energy, low carbon and other energy transition projects, with a passion for supporting clients in their contribution to the decarbonisation and net zero targets around the world.

Prior to London, Albert was based in Allens’ Melbourne office for over 3 years. Albert has also worked in-house for a large global mining company.

Work highlights

Albert’s experience includes advising:

• Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board in relation to its partnership with Macquarie’s Corio Generation for the development of a global portfolio of offshore wind assets
• Ørsted on the sale of a 50% interest in the Hornsea 2 offshore windfarm in the UK
• Equinor and SSE, the sponsors, on the development and financing of the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm in the UK, the world’s largest offshore wind farm
• the lenders and export credit agencies on the holdco financing of the Greater Changhua 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan
• the lenders on the financing of the Protos energy-from-waste facility to be constructed in Cheshire, UK
• the lenders on the financing of the Newhurst energy-from-waste facility to be constructed in Leicestershire, UK
• Octopus Renewables on the financing of Europe’s largest portfolio of solar assets
