SFDR 2.0 - Overview of the Commission's legislative proposal

Further to the leaked non-public drafts, we are expecting the European Commission to publish its legislative proposal for SFDR 2.0 on Wednesday 19 November.

The leaked draft significantly reduces the scope and burden of the current SFDR rules but imposes a number of additional obligations, as the regime is shifting from a disclosure regime to a product categorisation regime. The changes will have significant implications for financial market participants and other firms involved in the product distribution chain.
