Sustainable Finance in Europe: Regulatory State of Play updated AFME report

AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) and Linklaters have published an updated report on the regulatory state of play of the sustainable finance market in Europe, in light of rapid development in the regulatory framework and the very positive feedback received on last year’s version of the report. Sustainable finance rightly remains front and centre as policymakers and regulators focus on the need to mobilise finance in support of the transition to a sustainable economy.

The new report provides a practical guide to the plethora of initiatives relating to sustainable finance in Europe. It highlights how the banking sector is impacted and makes a number of recommendations to further the goal of developing sustainable finance in Europe.
