Managing supply chain risks: reporting and diligence

Regulator, investor and consumer scrutiny of the ways companies manage their business relationships and supply chains has never been higher, driving a trend towards more active supply chain management across a broader range of risk areas. In the United States, the State Department issued a supply chain advisory in 2020 providing guidance in respect of alleged human rights risks, while enforcement by the Customs and Border Protection Agency, targeting goods allegedly produced using forced labor, continues apace.
